The Biography
More than an elite athlete, Mikaël Grenier is a unique athlete. As soon as he was 5, Mikaël hit the tracks in karting, and started racing only two years later. Since then, the young driver has accumulated honours and podiums in various karting and open-wheel series.
During the summer of 2007, Mikaël Grenier is chosen to take part in the final selections of open-wheel series Formula BMW Americas in Valencia, Spain. At 14 year old, Mikaël wins the selection. His outstanding performances in Formula BMW school earn him a $80,000 award of excellence.
In 2008, as his first open wheel season drives by, Mikaël gets the high command of BMW F1 talking about his exceptional driving style. He then takes the 2nd rank as recruit of the year, and ends the season with a 4th position on overall placing. The following year, Miakël makes the jump in the Star Mazda series and enjoys a striking success.
As of now, Miaël Grenier stands ahead of many notorious drivers in his rise to the top. Considered to be the North America's best hope in racing, the 17 year old Mikël is already standing in the doorway leading to F1.
